Academic success is a difficult and complex task. It depends on college strategies, determination, and some secrets. The term "academic secrets" usually refers to the secrets of learning, teaching, college, notes, exams, time management, meditation, and more. The MigBook will focus on all aspects of college success.

Will this be on the test ?

Doesn’t that sound like an immature question? It implies, “I will only learn what I’m going to be tested on.” When preparing for tests, serious college students should be asking:

• What material did the instructor emphasize?
• Do I have a thorough understanding of the material?
• Can I explain this material accurately to someone else?
• How can I apply this material?
• How might the instructor write test questions on this material?
• What types of questions were asked on the previous test?
• What methods of preparation has the instructor suggested?
• What are the instructor’s office hours, and e-mail address in case I have a question while I am studying?
• How will this material be useful to me in future courses? In my career? In my life?
• What were the prevalent themes of the course? What were the professor’s teaching objectives? Mark Greenwood recommends focusing on these when studying for final.
